What Is the Fastest Internet Browser?

In the United States of America, there are over 320 million people who use the internet. That’s almost 90% of the population here. Internet usage continues to grow more and more every day as new technology develops and society becomes more and more dependent on it.

Browsers are used to access the internet. You’d think this would be a simple idea, but there are many options to choose from. There are five major browsers and many more minor ones. The five major browsers are Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Internet Explorer. Which one is the fastest?

Chrome

Chrome is perhaps the most advanced of the five major browsers and is currently labeled as the internet’s best browser. Given that it is developed by Google, you can be confident that this browser will always be up to date with the latest internet browsing trends. Chrome is also a great option for those who are interested in development, and it is the best browser when it comes to HTML5 (a type of web design code) loading speeds. Although the browser as a whole may not be the fastest anymore, it is still a great choice for those who would like to load up on extensions and add-ons.

Firefox

Before Chrome, the leading replacement to Internet Explorer was Firefox. It is still one of the fastest browsers, although it has been slowly losing traction in the internet community after the surge of Chrome and the development of Edge. Firefox also utilizes extensions, however it is not as extensive in its options as Chrome is.

Opera

Opera is an extremely underrate browsing option, although it has slowly gained popularity over the years. Although it is not as fast as its competitors, Opera uses far less memory than any other browser. It is typically a great option for browsing options on phones and devices with low amounts of memory.

Safari

Safari is essentially Apple’s version of Internet Explorer. Like Opera, it is a slower browser that uses the least amount of memory. It is the built-in browser for all Apple devices. With that said, Safari no longer puts out updates for Windows. It is slowly becoming an exclusive browser for Apple users, which means it will be pushed further down the list and forgotten as a universal option.

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer is often considered to be the original, most basic browsing option. It is a fast browser at its core due to its lack of add-ons and extensions. There were often problems with it being kept up to date with new coding and programming trends, although this problem has recently been addressed with the release of Edge, Internet Explorer’s replacement. With the release of Edge, the browser’s popularity has increased. If performance is what you’re looking for most, the new and improved Edge browser would be a great choice.

In the end, choosing the fastest internet browser may seem like the obvious way to go, but there are many other things you could consider when choosing which browser to use. You should take into account more than just a browser’s speed, depending on your specific needs. With that said, your choice of browser won’t affect things on a major scale, so you could also just go with your personal preference!
